Kensington is back on the clubbing map! The new addition has been Bodo’s Schloss, an exclusive Austrian restaurant, bar, and nightclub. Named after the oldest tent at Oktoberfest, and the Austrian word for palace, Bodo’s Schloss is co-owned by entrepreneurs Piers Adam and David Phelps, who opened Mayfair’s ‘Polynesian Paradise’ Mahiki and also ran the well-known club Whisky Mist. The decor is inspired in an Austrian ski lodge with wood floors, wood ceiling, skis, stag heads and sledges hanging off the walls to replace wallpaper, and a staff dressed in traditional lederhosen. Bodo’s Schloss also has an extensive list of cocktails served in ceramic painted ski boots or carried out in traditional wooden skis adding authenticity to the alpine theme. The venue is opened from Thursday to Saturday and operates an open door policy but guest lists and reservations are strongly recommend to avoid disappointment.
